Team Smithereen

Team Smithereen is the latest project from the Dan Clark Company, who describes the show as a "weird and wonderful comedy, sporting bone-crushing stunts and the worst 'extreme action' team in TV history." Twenty six 90 sec Team Smithereen shorts are being produced for Jetix International with Wildbrain, which is headed up by Charlie Rivkin, (former CEO of The Jim Henson Company). No word yet on when the series will hit the air and in what countries.Not too many other details aside from the promotional shot above are available yet, but it promises to be a great show. I'm puppeteering on it with Sean and Patrick Johnson of SWAZZLE (who are also directing), and three other stunningly talented puppeteers. I also perform the voice of the pig.

Demption

Short film. Felix plays a drug dealing killer a la Al Pacino in Scarface... Written and executive produced by Sean Crouch, writer on the CBS drama, Numb3rs. Also starring David Krumholtz and Gabriel Mann. Special effects by Quentin Tarantino's visual effects supervisor, Tommy Tom. Produced by Melissa and Andy Areffi. Directed by Jason Neudecker.

Puppet Up

Part of a new troupe of improvising puppeteers in training at the Jim Henson Company with Patrick Bristow (The Groundlings), as improv instructor and host of the show. Victor Yerrid, Patrick Johnson, and Sean Johnson, are puppeteering instructors. Produced by Brian Henson. The show is up and running with its first cast online at: TBS. Monthly shows are performed in Hollywood at the Avalon nightclub/theatre.

This Way to Your
Ritual Lobotomy

In a post-apocalyptic world, a futuristic priest tells you how Elian Gonzalez became the next messiah, when MacDonald's finally bought out Starbucks, and why you must participate in the ritual lobotomy that will take place after the performance. Scathingly satirical and funny, this meta-theatrical play puts personalities of our time on museum-like display... This is Felix's third multi-character solo play, and his second collaboration with playwright Guillermo Reyes. It was presented in a workshop setting in 2007 at the Diavolo Dance Theatre space in downtown Los Angeles. Diavolo dancer, Garrett Wolf choreographed. Debra Deliso joined the play as acting coach and directorial consultant.

Screening Party

This pilot/short film is based on the book of the same name by writer, Dennis Hensley. Felix plays Marcos, a lawyer in Dennis's close knit group of film fanatic friends, who regularly get together to pick apart their favorite movies to help Dennis write funny magazine articles about them. In addition to coming up with odd facts and minutae about the films, they reenact scenes from the films for themselves. In this "episode" Felix plays Richard Gere and Erin Quill plays Julia Roberts in "fantasy sequences" lampooning the film under scrutiny: Pretty Woman. Directed by Chil Kong.

The Mismatch Game

Created by writer-perfomer Dennis Hensley, The Mismatch Game is a spoof of the old 1970's game show where innuendo-laden sentences are given key words by the contestants. Several celebrities sit in a panel, and answer the questions themselves on paper. Contestants with the same answers as the celebs get points. Felix brings a young, Fantasy Island-aged Ricardo Montalban to life, alongside a cast of impersonators who render the likes of: Shelley Winters, Herve Villachaise, and Charles Nelson Reilly. Performed as a benefit on a bi-monthly or availability basis, this show has raised thousands of dollars for charity.

NBC SHORT CUTS COMEDY FESTIVAL!

Invited to the Aspen/HBO US Comedy Arts Festival in 2007. Felix recently played a role in the ensemble of this winning short film produced by friend, Camille Mana, which heated up last year's inaugural NBC Short Cuts Festival! It's irreverent and funny, and reminiscent of The Office, but filthier and more “ethno-aware”. Producer and actress Camille Mana, director Howard Duy Vu, and writer Sameer Asad Gardezi won a $25,000.00 development deal with NBC for this short film.
